Steps

  1. Open the referral link. Open the referral link. It takes you to the Octopus Energy website with the referral attached.
  2. Get a quote and sign up online. Enter your postcode, choose a tariff and finish signing up on octopus.energy. Don't use a comparison site or phone.
  3. Already signing up? Paste the code. If you're already in the process of signing up, copy and paste the referral code share.octopus.energy/sepia-star-913, as the original site advises.
  4. Forgot? Tell Octopus the code. Octopus says that if you forgot to use the link, you can contact it with the referral code and it can add the referral, as long as you signed up directly through its website.
  5. Wait for your first Direct Debit. After your switch completes and your first Direct Debit is taken, £50 (or £75 for a business) appears in your balance history, usually in about 4 weeks.
